The mission of the Foster Township Police Department is to work with our community leaders and residents of the Township to improve the quality of life of every citizen living, working, and visiting the Township of Foster.

The department shall maintain civil order within the limits of the law without infringing on the rights granted to citizens by the Constitution of the United States and / or by the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

To do this the Department will:

• Apprehend and arrest individuals when evidence exists of their commission of a crime.
• As well as the prosecution of said individuals to the full extent of the law.
• Reduce the risk of and opportunity for the commission of some crime by using active preventative patrol and with community awareness.
• Assist individuals in their hour of need with professionalism, patience and understanding.
• Maintain roadways for safe and easy movement of traffic and pedestrians.
